Mount Vernon To Host Stan
Shuman
Reverend Darrell Quinn and the congregation
of Mount Vernon Baptist Church invite everyone to come
and join them as they host Stan Shuman for a night of
gospel singing. The concert will be on Sunday evening,
August 1 at 6:30 p.m.
Stan Shuman is an internationally known
singer and songwriter. He was formerly with Jerry and
the Singing Goffs as well as Naomi and the Seagoes. He
currently is with the group Danny Funderburk and Mercy’s
Way. He has written songs for award winning groups such
as The Kingsmen, Gold City and The Anchormen. We invite
everyone to come and help us worship through song with
Stan Shuman.
Mount Vernon Baptist Church is located on Highway 15
South across from the GA Baptist Children’s Home. For

Annual Promise Ride Is A Success
BAXLEY—On
Saturday, June 26, the Brotherhood of Jesus
Christ Motorcycle Ministries Augusta, GA Chapter
and the Wheels of Faith Motorcycle Ministry
Baxley GA Chapter sponsored Promise Ride, a
leisure ride for motorcycles, antique cars, and
other unusual modes of travel. Proceeds from
the event went to support Promise of Hope, Inc.,
a residential ministry for chemically dependent
women. Approximately $2,000 was raised on
Saturday.
